Percussor

The Percussor is a superb tool for gently restoring joint motion, relieving lymphatic congestion, freeing adhesions and scar tissue, and relaxing tense and tight muscles.  It accomplishes this by delivering waves of percussive impulses deep into the tissues of the body at speeds from eight cycles per second to 52 cycles per second.

These deep percussive impulses target and release a tissue called “fascia” which is similar in consistency to Saran Wrap. (Fascia is a thin layer of connective tissue that surrounds and supports the muscles and organs in the body and is continuous from the top of the head to the tips of the toes.) Traumas, toxins, and stressful situations can cause the fascia to get “wadded up” in a way similar to the way a sheet of Saran Wrap can get “wadded up.”

This “wadding up” of the fascia not only causes a decrease in blood flow and lymphatic cleansing of the tissues but also causes muscles to become tight and tense. Through its deep percussive forces, the Percussor promotes an increase in circulation and lymphatic flow and decreases muscle spasm by “unwadding” the fascia and restoring its normal relaxed state!
